My Experience
Joshua Banks is the CEO of Thallora, a student-run marketing firm at the University of Houston. In this role, he leads client onboarding, sales, and the development of websites, while mentoring fellow students in key marketing disciplines such as sales, content creation, and data analytics. His leadership focuses on fostering collaboration, creativity, and hands-on learning to drive real-world impact for businesses and student professionals alike.
Previously, Joshua was a Sales Intern at CAPTIV Creative, where he helped businesses connect with high-impact video production solutions that captivate audiences and drive results. He specialized in relationship-building, understanding client needs, and guiding prospects through CAPTIV’s creative process, including studio tours and tailored project planning. His enthusiasm for storytelling and problem-solving made him a valuable asset in helping brands craft compelling visual narratives.
Before transitioning into sales and marketing, Joshua worked in healthcare as a CNA and customer care representative at United Health Group. This experience sharpened his ability to deliver exceptional service with empathy and strong communication skills—a people-first approach that continues to shape his client interactions and sales strategies today.
